DGM Slush

Our business all started one day with a small idea during lockdown. Having spent so much time together enjoying the warm summer days we decided that we would love to work together too. What better way than with an ice-cold drinks company to cool us down during those hot days?

After a few days of research, we purchased our first slushy machine, which we were able to take full advantage of and experiment with different mixtures and flavours in our own back garden. As the months went by we slowly increased our stock and suddenly had 4 slushy machines. This enabled us to get our business off the ground the following year in 2021. 3 years later we are still growing, now having a coffee, popcorn and candy floss machine with more ideas in the pipeline.

Fast forward to 2024 and we now also own our sister company DGM Oink Haus. Our Hog Roast Company can cater from 30-150 plus.

We both still currently work in the education sector. Gemma is a primary school teacher with 20 years experience. Dean is head chef at a private school, with a background in catering management and has previously been head chef at a prestige restaurant for 21 years. We have all this experience between us of catering and working with children we feel we offer the best quality service, knowing the individual needs of our clients.

We feel passionate that we are offering a unique service in this industry due to our experience and understanding of our customer’s requirements. We always go the extra mile to ensure we spend the time and effort fulfilling everyone’s individual needs and give 110% for complete satisfaction.

Dean and Gemma provided the food for our Son’s wedding celebration. Prior to the event they were very attentive in making sure every eventuality was catered for, and were able to accommodate our menu choice of burgers, sausage, fries, veg and all the trimmings.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cups can you get out of one machine?

60-80 7oz cups

How many people does one machine serve?

If they are only having one slushy drink each then between 60-80 people, however, if they require multiple drinks then more mix would be provided at an additional cost.

How long does it take for the mix to freeze?

From one and a half hours, depending on the weather. It takes slightly longer on hot days.

Do we use the machine ourselves or can we hire staff?

We hire out our machines for adults (over 18) to use themselves and to supervise children. However, we have staff to man the machines if requested at an extra cost from £50

How long can we rent the machine for?

We hire out the machines from 2 hours up to a maximum of 48 hours.

Do you do package deals?

We offer a variety of deals, where discounts will be applied for use of multiple rentals e.g. two slushy machines, one slushy and the popcorn machine.

How far in advance can we book?

It is never too early to book with us. Our peak season is from April-September (these months can be extremely busy) so it is best to get in early.

Do you require a deposit?

We require a small deposit of 50% no later than two weeks prior to the event. The outstanding balance can be settled on the morning of delivery or prior if you wish, using our card machine or online banking. An invoice can be generated straight after the deposit is paid.

What areas do you cover?

We are a Warwickshire-based company, so our main delivery areas are Warwickshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. Other delivery areas are considered either by having a minimum order value or at an extra cost for travel. Contact us for more information.
